As previously noted on NAHBNow, on Aug. 16, President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law, unleashing a slew of new programs and hundreds of billions of dollars in new climate-related federal spending. Although many of these new programs offer new or expanded financial resources and tax credits that could help home builders, remodelers and housing consumers, several are focused on increasing energy code requirements, which could severely impact housing affordability.
To help our industry prepare, NAHB is hosting a free webinar on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. ET, during which NAHB staff experts will help explain how the Inflation Reduction Act will influence energy code adoption, home renovation, training and tax policy.
Although the federal government is expected to slowly roll out the regulations governing these new programs, this webinar provides an opportunity to ask questions and learn how NAHB can help you navigate the new law.
