Didn’t this year just start? Did anyone else just realize that we’re nearly half way through 2022? Maybe it’s because we’ve been so busy at the SSHBA that it’s been hard to pay attention to how fast time is going?
Our Professional Women in Building Council (PWB) have had two fun events so far. First was a Happy Hour at Embers Tap House in Lockport and the other was a tour & brunch at Restoration Hardware in Oak Brook. The council is working hard to come up with more unique and exciting events for its members. Stay tuned!
April was a BIG month for the SSHBA with our Kentucky Derby Raffle. There were 150 people that attended the event at Harrah’s Casino and everyone had a blast! Our horse race winner was GITy-Up Princess sponsored by Greater Illinois Title Co. and the Grand Prize $2500 raffle winner was Dick Searls of Searls Windows & Doors, Inc! Congrats to all the winners… especially Jackie McShane, Best Hat & Joe Sambucci, Best Dressed Man! We had SO many awesome raffle prizes so congrats to all who won a prize as well!
Here at the SSHBA we like to keep momentum rolling…like on a train! May was our Train Crawl and it was a success! We had 35 people attending between those who rode the train and those who met us at the various establishments. Our event started at Little Al’s in Mokena, followed by The Station Pub & Eatery in Tinley Park and ending at MyGrain Brewing Company in Joliet. A good time was had by all!
