Manchester II model opens at The Residences at Shorewood Towne Center
MODEL INCLUDES MANY POPULAR AMENITIES

Years ago, Distinctive Companies had such a big hit on their hands with the Manchester floor plan that they decided to create a sequel: The Manchester II. Today, that desirable design is one of the main stars at The Residences at Shorewood Towne Center—Distinctive’s community of 340 semi-custom, single-family homes in Shorewood, where a Manchester II model recently made its debut.

“The Manchester II is one of the most in-demand plans we offer, and for good reason—it’s got all the fine amenities, standard inclusions and elbow room that today’s shoppers are looking for,” said Bryan Nooner, CEO for Orland Park-based Distinctive Companies.

For starters, the two-story Manchester II features four bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a formal dining room and a spacious 12- by 18-foot great room, adjacent to the kitchen. The well-appointed kitchen boasts a pantry, custom-made oak cabinets and Moen faucets and opens up to a large dinette area that includes a bay window and sliding glass doors.

Upstairs, the amply sized master bedroom suite offers a walk-in closet from the master bath—which is equipped with a full bath with a soaker tub on a ceramic deck as well as a separate shower.

Additionally, every Manchester II features a two-car garage, thermo-pane insulated vinyl windows with screens, partial basement, covered front porch, first-floor laundry room, two-story foyer, premium Hardie board-type siding, wall to wall carpeting, 2,680 square feet of living space, and a sodded front yard and seeded side and rear yard.

The Manchester II, as modeled, also sports a number of upgrades and extras that buyers can select as options—including a bonus room, tray and vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom, Whirlpool in the master bath, arched door openings in the dining room and secondary bedroom, granite countertops, custom-stained birch cabinetry and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, upgraded brick and stone exteriors, a paver drive and walkway, a fireplace with a full surround white mantel, and round tapered fiberglass columns on the front porch.

“This design is ideal for growing families and busy couples alike, offering plenty of flexible living space and thoughtful inclusions designed to appeal to virtually any buyer,” Nooner said. “We get a lot of praise and positive word of mouth about our Manchester II—a quality built, generously appointed home which has proven to be a real crowd pleaser.”

Aside from the Manchester II, shoppers can also walk through three other memorable models that are furnished and ready for touring:
  • The Stratford, a four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath home;
  • The Brookshire, among the community’s newest floorplans, featuring a sideload garage, four bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, and an optional fifth bedroom; and
  • The Princeton, a ranch providing three bedrooms and two baths.

In all, the community features 15 exceptional designs, each of which includes three to five bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half baths, attached two- to three-car garage, full front porch, formal dining room and/or living room, large great room, master bedroom suite with a walk-in closet and full bath, kitchen complete with an oversized pantry, large dinette area and sliding glass door, and first-floor laundry room (per plan). Base prices range from $234,990 to $389,990, and sizes vary from 1,825 to 4,000 square feet.

Among the standard amenities are elevated and covered front porches decked in cultured stone, custom kitchen cabinets and handsome oak trim. Several plans include a spacious second-floor balcony and two-story entries. Walkout or lookout basements are also available.

Located on Rt. 52 approximately three miles west of Rt. 59 in the heart of Shorewood and comprising more than 340 homesites over 200 acres, The Residences will be the biggest component of The Shorewood Towne Center—one of the largest developments ever planned for Will County that will span 214 total acres when completed. The master-planned, mixed-use community will also include a variety of retail shops, stores and restaurants spread out over 51 acres, 10 acres of dedicated municipal space for the newly built $10 million Village Hall, a park with a gazebo bandstand, and two fully landscaped and fountain-equipped lakes totaling 38 acres.

The village town square, as well as the Village Hall, is now completed. The arched pedestrian and roadway bridge crossing one of the lakes and linking the residential area to the town square, is nearing completion.

Aside from plentiful on-site shopping and dining options—many within walking distance and each offering an abundance of parking spaces—homeowners can take advantage of a plethora of community attractions, such as two parks, miles of jogging paths circling both lakes, and bountiful open space for picnicking and other recreational activities. There are several elementary, middle, and high schools serving Shorewood as part of the Minooka Community Consolidated School District 201 (which includes Walnut Trails Elementary) and Minooka Community High School District 111.

To reach The Residences at The Shorewood Towne Center, take I-55 south and exit on Rt. 52; head west three miles to the models. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. For more information, call (815) 744-7701 or visit www.distinctive.bz.
